Een Nieuwe Vader

Een Nieuwe Vader (A New Father) is a graduation film by Christian Koopman and Jasper van der Heijden, affiliated with the HKU (University of Arts, Utrecht).

We follow the story of Ruben who, after learning he will become a dad, tries to reconnect with his own father after years of not being on speaking terms. This short phychological drama film explores themes of hope and family recovery, and how religion can play a role in this process.

I’m Good Thanks is a short film directed by Saleem Miah and Ahmad Mohsin. The film is about what it feels like to be a young, working-class British Asian lad today, exploring themes such as masculinity and mental health. After Spice for Life from 2025, it is the second film by Saleem and Ahmad that I’ve had the pleasure of composing for.
